KRI Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Programs:
The Aquarian Teacher™

Through the direct guidance of Yogi Bhajan, the Aquarian Teacher Training program has been divided into three stages:

This is where we learn the fundamental understanding and experience that the basic self is always one with the One (Ek Ong Kar); understanding of the essential parts and character of a human being, and the fundamental principles and practices of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Completing this stage makes you a certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga.

This is the practice and expression of the awareness that we are ONE with GOD. The projection of our true identity (Sat Nam), to be the embodiment of this identity through our word and action and to expand and deepen the consciousness of the Teacher within us. Completing this stage makes you a certified Practitioner of Kundalini Yoga.

This is the experience of ecstasy (Siri Wahe Guru). That experience is reflected in the Teacher's word, action, character, seva and reputation. Completing this stage makes you an acknowledged and certified Teacher of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

KUNDALINI YOGA

Kundalini Yoga is a technology, thousands of years old, that enables each person to tap into his or her own potential to grow, to learn and to develop the inner strength to face life's challenges successfully. This sacred yogic discipline promotes physical health, stimulates the potential of the mind, and touches one's innermost being. Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is recognized as one of the major systems of yoga instruction. For more than 30 years, teachers in the United States and Canada and in over 17 countries worldwide have taught Kundalini Yoga to thousands of students.

Course Descripxion :

The Aquarian Teacher program is the KRI Level I Certification program in Kundalini Yoga Bhajan. In Level I you will become an instructor and gain a deep understanding and experience of the core of the science of Kundalini Yoga. You will develop the skills to instruct students in Kundalini Yoga kriyas and meditations as taught by Yogi Bhajan. You will practice teaching Kundalini Yoga in a practicum setting, participate in early morning Sadhanas (spiritual practice), and experience the powerful transformational energy of White Tantric Yoga. This is a 220 hour course, which includes 160 hours of classroom instruction in a well-defined curriculum which includes:

• Teaching Kundalini Yoga postures, kriyas and meditation
• The role of a Kundalini Yoga teacher
• Yogic philosophy and the origin of kundalini Yoga
• Yogic and Western anatomy
• Humanology and 3HO Yogic Lifestyle

This program is based on the comprehensive science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. The Aquarian Teacher program is a journey of your development as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher. There are three levels of certification:

• KRI Level 1 - Instructor
• KRI Level 2 - Practitioner
• KRL Level 3 - Teacher

The Aquarian Teacher Certification program is open both to yoga students ready to become teachers and those who wish to immerse themselves in the science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

Obtain credentials and develop your self-confidence for teaching Kundalini Yoga

• Self-transformation to the consciousness, essence and projection of a teacher
• How to prepare and teach yoga and meditation classes
• Practical tips on how to market your class and present yourself professionally as a teacher

Certification Standards

• Certified by KRI - The Kundalini Research Institute
• This Aquarian Teacher Level I program qualifies for the 220-hour certification with Yoga Alliance.

To successfully complete the course students are required to

• Attend all weekends
• Attend a minimum of 20 Kundalini Yoga classes during the course outside of class time
• Consecutive 40 day meditations
• Complete regular homework assignments
• Complete 9 group sadhanas (early morning yoga practice)
• Complete one (1) White Tantric workshop

...and for Teacher Certification

• Satisfactory performance in one supervised class
• Passing grade on KRI qualifying exam (take home, open book)
• Two written assignments of yoga curricula and class practicum
• Accepxable representation of the Kundalini Yoga Code of Professional Standards and readiness to be a Kundalini Yoga instructor as determined by the Teacher Training Team
• Complete a confidential evaluation for each member of the teacher training team
• Sign code of professional standards

IMPORTANT: This course is an intense, transformative experience. A strong commitment is required. You will devote a substantial amount of time and focus to meditation, essays and reading assignments. Be prepared to allot your time accordingly.
